Overview

El Leñador is at Avenida Luis Donaldo Colosio 168 in El Centenario. Its website states that it has been serving for 22 years, without giving a founding year, and lists hours of 11 a.m. to midnight every day. Diario del Yaqui included it in a 2024 list of five Hermosillo taquerías chosen by artificial intelligence.

Tacos come in many varieties: rib eye, cabrería, arrachera, sirloin, campechano, tripitas, húngaro and a lighter version. The grill also turns out molcajetes of carne asada and steaks of cabrería, arrachera and sirloin, and the menu adds Sonoran antojitos such as carmelos and lorenzas, queso fundido, grilled panela, carne seca and frijoles charros.

Hermosillo is closely identified with carne asada, beef grilled over charcoal and often served on flour tortillas, though its taquerías also sell cabeza, barbacoa and other morning tacos.
