History

Monterey County Weekly readers and editors named Big Sur Taco the county's best food truck in its 2024 Best of Monterey County issue. The truck moves between farmers markets and two regular locations, one in Carmel Valley and one in the Ryan Ranch business park near Monterey, and posts its schedule on social media.

The menu covers tacos, burritos, tortas, quesadillas and bowls. The Weekly praised its handmade tortillas, well-seasoned fillings and layered salsas, warning that the hottest salsas are very spicy.
