Birriería Chito
Birriería Chito is a birria truck on Crows Landing Road in Modesto, California, serving beef and goat birria and crisp tacos dorados.
History
San Francisco Chronicle critic Cesar Hernandez featured Birriería Chito in a report on Modesto's food-truck scene. The city began organizing truck parks, locally called grub hubs, in 2019, and by the time of his report there were eight; regional Mexican trucks have multiplied in them since 2020. Crows Landing Road, in south Modesto, hosts several of these trucks.
Menu
The truck offers birria made from beef and from goat; Hernandez singled out the goat for its depth of flavor. Tacos dorados, fried until crisp, are a signature, and consomé is included free with an order. Nearby, at 1700 Crows Landing Road, the same report featured Tortas Ahogadas El Cejarin, part of a cluster of regional Mexican trucks on the road.
