Overview

The business is run by a brother and sister at the counter while their parents cook and press tortillas on site. It opens at 8 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays and stays open until the day's pork is sold out, with seating at several tables under a tent.

Carnitas in the Michoacán style, pork cooked slowly in its own fat until tender and browned, are sold by the pound for families and as individual tacos. Tacos can be ordered with mixed pork or with cuerito, the soft cooked pork skin, and chicharrón is also available. The handmade tortillas are produced on the premises during service.
