Carnitas El Guerras

From WikiTacos, the taco encyclopedia · Taquería

Carnitas El Guerras is a Michoacán-style carnitas stand in an industrial area of West Long Beach, California.

Overview

The stand sets up daily on West Anaheim Street. The Infatuation, which reviewed it, describes generous tacos with at least a quarter-pound of meat each.

The pork is cooked in its own fat until deep brown but remains soft and moist rather than crisp. Customers choose a cut, including trompa (snout), lengua and cueritos (skin), or order a surtido that mixes them all. Handmade tortillas are available as an upgrade over the standard ones. The stand is listed in The Infatuation's directory of Los Angeles taco reviews, which describes it as a source of unusually large fried-pork tacos. Its West Anaheim Street address lies in the industrial western part of Long Beach.
