From WikiTacos, the taco encyclopedia · Taquería

Cilantro Mexican Grill is a counter-service Mexican restaurant inside a Chevron gas station in North Hollywood, Los Angeles, serving burritos, flour-tortilla tacos and loaded tostadas.

Overview

The restaurant operates from a gas station at the corner of Sherman Way and Whitsett Avenue, at 7214 Whitsett Avenue. The Infatuation reviewed it in 2022 and noted that burritos are its main focus, though tacos and tostadas share the menu. Diners usually park on Sherman Way.

Tacos are served on flour tortillas with cilantro, onion, salsa and a choice of protein, with barbacoa and carne asada highlighted. The tostada is a large shell layered with black beans, rice, lettuce, corn salad, sour cream, chipotle ranch and meat. Burritos range from a breakfast version with egg and turkey sausage to a carne asada burrito that can be ordered enchilada-style with red chile sauce; an off-menu surf-and-turf burrito pairs Angus beef with shrimp. Toppings such as chile-lime corn and serrano pesto sit alongside a salsa bar.
