Overview

Doomie's NextMex sits next to its older sibling, Doomie's Home Cookin', and keeps late hours, which earned it a spot in The Infatuation's guide to late-night dining as well as its guide to the best vegan tacos in Los Angeles.

Every item is vegan. Tacos imitate familiar meats, with soy and mushroom carnitas, asada and a vegan "shrimp" taco. Tortillas are made fresh, and a tofu-based crema finished with lime and several salsas accompany the tacos.

Coverage

The Infatuation's review, by Sylvio Martins, was published in January 2024. Its late-night guide notes that the restaurant stays open until midnight, and until 1 a.m. on weekends.
