History

KGET 17 food writer Jason Kotowski reviewed El Asadero Bros in 2024 during a visit to Arvin, pairing it with another local spot, Mr. Taco on Bear Mountain Boulevard. Arvin sits in the agricultural south end of the San Joaquin Valley, where taquerías largely serve farmworker families.

Kotowski singled out the pastor and quesabirria tacos and their soft, fresh tortillas. Tacos are plated with rice and beans, and customers help themselves from a well-stocked salsa bar. Seating is outdoors under a canopy. On the same trip Kotowski also stopped at Mr. Taco, which serves smaller cabeza, asada and pastor tacos, and reported that his bill for both stops came to under twenty dollars.
