Overview

El Cacho parks in the Over the Border lot on the northeast corner of Fourth Avenue and Main Street in Chula Vista. The San Diego Reader reported in September 2020 that it had been the first of two main trucks to set up in the lot, about a year earlier, and that it drew a long line on a Saturday visit. It shares the lot with Taquería El Poblano, and in 2020 both trucks operated all day every day except Monday, with weekend carts selling crepes, fruity drinks and tostilocos, and a coffee cart.

The truck specializes in mariscos: fish tacos, seafood tostadas and aguachile, the Sinaloan dish of raw shrimp cured in lime and chile. The Reader's writer also had their eye on Baja-style fish and grilled octopus tacos.
