Overview

El Matador parks at 1174 N. Western Avenue, at the Lexington Avenue corner on the border of East Hollywood and Hollywood. Time Out Los Angeles profiled the truck in 2013, describing a short menu and taqueros who keep serving until 4 a.m. The following year LAist listed it as an honorable mention in its guide to the city's best taco trucks.

Tacos were $1.25 each at the time of the Time Out profile, with burritos and tortas at $4.75. The al pastor taco, made with spiced pork and finished with crunchy vegetables and a hot salsa, was the item Time Out singled out. Prices and hours have likely changed since those reports, and current operation should be confirmed before visiting.
