History

El Muelle 8 once ran a sit-down restaurant in Downey, which closed in 2024. The business continued as a food truck at 5221 E. Olympic Boulevard in East Los Angeles, with a second truck stationed in Anaheim, according to The Infatuation's 2026 review.

The menu covers hot and cold Sinaloan seafood. Tacos include the taco de chicharrón de pulpo, made with fried octopus, and the tacochile de camarón. Tostadas include the Chavita, topped with ahi tuna, cream cheese and salsa negra. The truck also makes shrimp empanadas, the Ceviche Muelle 8, and ceviches and aguachiles mixed with Clamato. Shaded sidewalk tables let diners eat on site. The Infatuation listed the truck in its guide to the best mariscos spots in Los Angeles and in a roundup of the best dishes its writers ate in May 2026.
