Fábrica de Tacos El Triciclo is a breakfast taco stand in Mazatlán's Zona Dorada that has operated for more than thirty years.

Overview

Luz Noticias describes El Triciclo, in front of the Conapesca offices in the Zona Dorada, as a long-standing breakfast institution. It opens at 5 a.m. and usually sells out by 10 a.m., moving about 300 tacos a day. Fillings include cabeza, chicharrón, marlin in adobo, beef with potatoes, carne asada and machaca, served on doubled tortillas with cabbage, cilantro and onion. Its habanero salsa is considered the stand's signature, alongside green and red salsas.

Context

Mazatlán's taquerías are known for carne asada with chorreadas and for seafood, and many open early to serve breakfast. Marlin in adobo is a Sinaloan coastal specialty.
