La Bamba Taco Truck

From WikiTacos, the taco encyclopedia · Taquería

La Bamba is a late-night taco truck in Boyes Hot Springs, in the Sonoma Valley.

Overview

La Bamba parks in the lot of an auto repair shop on the Sonoma Highway in Boyes Hot Springs, just north of the city of Sonoma; Sonoma Magazine has given the address as 18155 Sonoma Highway. The magazine's al pastor survey named it the county's best late-night option, and its later list of 20 favorite Mexican restaurants in the county recommended its gorditas and burritos and warned that a wait is common.

Context

Boyes Hot Springs and the neighboring Springs communities are home to much of the Sonoma Valley's Latino population and many of its taquerías, a short drive from the wine-country tourist district around Sonoma Plaza. Late hours make La Bamba one of the few food options in the valley after restaurants close. Sources consulted do not give its founding date or owners.
