La Teziuteca

From WikiTacos, the taco encyclopedia · Taquería

La Teziuteca is a family taco business in Puebla's El Carmen neighborhood, grown out of a butcher shop, known for tacos de sesos, chicharrón and longaniza.

History

La Teziuteca is at 16 de Septiembre 2701-C in El Carmen. Revista 360 Grados reported in 2021 that it began as a butcher shop. The founder, father of the current operator Crispín Sánchez, later sold only tacos and fried snacks on weekends. Between them, father and son had about sixty years in the trade. The stand appeared in a 2021 Revista 360 Grados roundup of thirteen Puebla taquerías and cemita shops, a list the magazine described as a work in progress to which more places would be added.

Offerings include chicharrón, longaniza, tacos de sesos (brains) and fried cheese. The magazine recommended everything, singling out the sesos tacos.
