Overview

Las Parrillas is at 2451 Jamacha Road, Suite 101, in El Cajon, in San Diego's East County. The San Diego Reader featured it in its May 2015 taco package as one of the places where customers keep coming back, alongside two San Diego taquerías and several Tijuana and Rosarito stands.

The shop's draw, as described by the Reader, is the crispy taco in the Southern California taco shop style: a fried shell filled with shredded beef or chicken and topped with yellow cheese, iceberg lettuce, sour cream, tomato and mild pico de gallo. A salsa bar offers five sauces, and the Reader singled out the green tomatillo salsa.
