Los Agaves

Los Agaves is a Mexican restaurant group in Santa Barbara, California, whose original location on North Milpas Street led to branches on De la Vina Street and in Goleta; it is known for seafood and for signature tacos.

History

Visit Santa Barbara says the Milpas Street restaurant was the original, and its success inspired later locations on De la Vina Street and in Goleta. A 2015 Santa Barbara Independent survey listed the Milpas and De la Vina addresses.

Menu

The kitchen serves contemporary Mexican cooking with an emphasis on seafood. Two house tacos are the Costra al Pastor, in which marinated pork and pineapple sit on a crisp cheese crust with chipotle sauce, and the Taco Azteca, which combines steak, rajas, corn, Monterey Jack and a jalapeño dressing. The restaurant is also known for its avocado salsa and a seasonal squash-blossom quesadilla.
