Overview

Los Camellos is a colorful taquería in a quiet area near an ecological park, away from Puebla's historic center. It was one of eight Puebla establishments awarded a Bib Gourmand when the Michelin Guide added the state in 2026. It opens on weekdays only and takes cash.

Puebla is the birthplace of tacos árabes, and the menu centers on them and on tacos al pastor, both wrapped in soft, flatbread-style pan árabe and served with a spicy salsa. Cemitas, the city's sesame-bun sandwiches, are served hot and toasted with melted cheese. Charred, sweet onions accompany the plates.
