Los Plebes
Los Plebes is a taco truck beside U.S. Route 101 at the Lytton Springs exit near Geyserville, in Sonoma County, known for crisp-edged carnitas tacos.
Overview
The truck parks at 55 Lytton Springs Rd., just off the Lytton Springs exit of Highway 101 in northern Sonoma County's wine country. It operates daily from morning to late afternoon, takes cash only and has no seating. San Francisco Chronicle columnist Soleil Ho wrote that its carnitas were worth leaving the highway for.
Menu
The carnitas are cooked slowly and then given a quick fry before serving, producing a mix of crisp and chewy textures. Tacos were about two dollars at the time of Ho's column. The truck also serves cabeza and other meats, and tacos are garnished with grilled onions and toasted serrano chiles. Plebes is Mexican slang for kids or young people.
