From WikiTacos, the taco encyclopedia · Taquería

Los Tacos de Cochinada is a late-night taquería on Doctor Vértiz in Narvarte, Mexico City, named for its mixed-meat cochinada taco.

Overview

Chilango's taco tour of Narvarte calls this stand at Vértiz 1023 a temple of late-night eating, popular with people leaving parties. Its taco de cochinada piles together cecina, chicharrón, longaniza and suadero; the alternative is bistec with cheese. It opens in the evening and stays open until dawn on weekends.

Context

Narvarte's taquerías are known for long hours that serve the city's nightlife. Mixed tacos of several meats, often called campechanos, are a staple of the capital's night taquerías, where suadero and longaniza share the same griddle and the meats are chopped together before serving. Its name signals the house specialty.
