Paco's Tacos (Fullerton)
Paco's Tacos is a small family taquería run from a kitchen attached to a liquor store on West Orangethorpe Avenue in Fullerton, known for pambazos and Chiapas-style enchiladas.
History
The taquería, also signed Taquería Paco's Tacos, works out of 1860 West Orangethorpe Avenue. L.A. TACO's Memo Torres reported in 2021 that building owner Remy Singh had bought the property, then a market, about six years earlier and turned it into a liquor store, renting the kitchen to taquero Abram Espinoza, whose family has run it since. The family's matriarch died of COVID-19 the year before the article, and relatives were carrying on her recipes. Customers order inside the store or through a side gate marked with a Mexican flag, beside a white van painted with the business name.
Menu
Tacos are small, two-bite California-style tacos with onion, cilantro and salsa; Torres found the asada and al pastor strongest. The kitchen also makes long Chiapas-style quesadillas, including one with squash blossom, plus huaraches and gorditas. Pambazos come dipped in mild red chile sauce and filled with chorizo, potato, lettuce, crema, tomato and cotija. The enchiladas are rolled taco-style in red sauce.
