Pronto's Express
Pronto's Express is a taco truck that operated on Morning Drive in northeast Bakersfield, California, and was ranked first in a 2014 student newspaper comparison of local trucks.
History
In March 2014 The Renegade Rip, the student newspaper of Bakersfield College, compared four Bakersfield taco trucks by ordering carne asada and al pastor at each. Pronto's Express, parked on a lot at Morning Drive and Route 184 across from a plant nursery, came out on top. Its current status could not be confirmed.
Menu
At the time, tacos cost about a dollar each. The reviewer praised the juicy, well-cooked carne asada and al pastor and well-warmed tortillas, and noted that the truck displayed a sticker advertising its use of Harris Ranch beef, from the large Central Valley cattle operation.
