Ricos Tacos Toluca is a chorizo taquería near Mercado San Juan in Mexico City's Centro Histórico, specializing in the green and red sausages of Toluca.

Overview

The taquería has moved three times over more than two decades and now occupies a small space on Calle López, near the Mercado San Juan. Seating is limited to a few red stools. It was named in the first Michelin Guide Mexico selection in 2024 and is listed again in 2026.

Everything revolves around handmade sausages in the style of Toluca, the capital of the State of Mexico. Chorizo verde is the best known. Obispo, a large pork sausage, is seared lightly for a crisp surface, and chorizo tamarindo is diced and grilled for a faint sweetness. Sausages can be ordered alone or mixed, then topped with grilled or raw onion, French fries, cilantro and salsas.
