Señor Rodeo Tacos, also called Don Sirloin, is a taquería in Oaxaca City that cooks beef sirloin on a spit in the al pastor style.

Overview

Oaxaca Travel Tips lists Señor Rodeo Tacos, which it says is also known as Don Sirloin. The signature is sirloin beef cooked al pastor style, stacked and roasted on a vertical spit instead of the usual pork. The menu also includes chorizo, arrachera, the quesachori (chorizo with melted cheese) and stuffed mashed potatoes. The guide gives no street address or founding date.

Context

Oaxaca de Juárez has its own taco culture built on local ingredients such as tasajo (thin salted beef), cecina enchilada (chile-rubbed pork), chorizo, quesillo and chile de agua, served alongside the tlayudas and memelas the state is known for. Street carts are not allowed to operate in the city on Wednesdays, although the rule is often relaxed on holidays.
