Taco Addiction

From WikiTacos, the taco encyclopedia · Taquería

Taco Addiction is a Napa taco truck known for birria and puffy tacos served with dipping broth.

Overview

Visit Napa Valley's Napa Valley Taco Trail lists Taco Addiction among the city of Napa's taco stops. The tourism bureau recommends its birria and steak puffy tacos, served with broth for dipping, and says its regular stop in Napa is at Lincoln Avenue and Iroquois Street.

Context

Puffy tacos, made from fresh masa that inflates when fried, are a specialty associated with San Antonio, Texas, and are uncommon in California. Pairing them with birria and consommé blends that Texas tradition with the Tijuana-style birria taco that swept California in the early 2020s. Guides such as Visit Napa Valley's taco trail and Wine Spectator's taco tour have pointed wine-country visitors toward the county's taquerías and trucks, which also serve the people who live and work in the valley. Sources consulted do not give the founding date or owners.
