Taconazo
Taconazo is a Tijuana taquería chain founded in Playas de Tijuana in 2008 and known for adobada topped with guacamole.
Overview
The San Diego Reader reported that Taconazo opened in 2008 at Paseo Ensenada 712 in Playas de Tijuana, quickly became a local favorite and expanded to branches in Hipódromo behind the Xolos stadium, near Tacos Franc and in La Cacho. A 2024 guide from Where The Road Forks counted six locations and singled out the adobada with guacamole on top, with a menu that also includes quesadillas, tostadas, burros, sopes, birria and vegetarian tacos.
Most locations open in the morning and stay open until about 1 a.m., later on Friday and Saturday nights.
Context
