Overview

The San Diego Reader describes Tacos Aaron as the oldest food truck in Tijuana, started in 1981 in Colonia Soler, where the original truck stands at De La Alegría 22530 next to a Calimax supermarket. It claims to be the first to use the term tacos varios for tacos de guisado, and offers more than fifteen fillings that rotate daily. The business added a truck in Playas in the 1990s and later two more in the Río and Hipódromo areas. It serves breakfast and early lunch only, closing by 2 p.m.

Context

Tijuana's taquerías are known for adobada carved from the trompo, carne asada with guacamole, and birria, and many stay open late.
