Tacos Brunos is an evening taquería in Santa Cruz Meyehualco, Iztapalapa, Mexico City.

Overview

Chilango lists Tacos Brunos at the corner of Ermita Iztapalapa and Avenida Miguel Hidalgo in Santa Cruz Meyehualco. Its menu ranges from rajas with cheese and offal cuts such as machito and nenepil to volcanes (crisp tostada-like tortillas topped with meat and cheese) of pastor, suadero, bistec or longaniza, plus pork chop alambres. It opens Monday through Saturday from evening until about 1 a.m. and takes cash only.

Context

Chilango included it in a list of thirty taquerías every Mexico City resident should know, a selection weighted toward neighborhood places outside the usual tourist circuit. Iztapalapa, the most populous borough of the capital, has a large and varied taco scene.
