Tacos Delta is a family-founded walk-up taco stand on Sunset Boulevard near Sunset Junction in Silver Lake, Los Angeles, in business for more than four decades.

History

Tacos Delta was co-founded more than 40 years before 2023 by Maria Ester Valdivia and two members of her family. Valdivia lived for nearly half a century in nearby Echo Park. In May 2023 she died after being struck by a driver in a crosswalk at Glendale Boulevard and Scott Avenue, and L.A. TACO reported her death, describing her as a co-founder of the Sunset Boulevard restaurant.

The stand serves from a walk-up window at 3806 W. Sunset Boulevard. The Infatuation, in a 2022 review, described a long menu that includes Mexican soups and a burger as well as tacos. Items it named include an asada quesadilla, a chorizo breakfast burrito and a plate of hard tacos, served with the house salsa. Seating is outdoors, and the review listed it as a cheap-eats spot suited to solo diners and families.
