Tacos Don Cuco

From WikiTacos, the taco encyclopedia · Taquería

Tacos Don Cuco is a Tijuana-style taco stand that sets up in a grocery-store parking lot on South Fetterly Avenue in East Los Angeles.

Overview

Don Cuco works in the Tijuana tradition: meats cooked over charcoal, corn tortillas pressed to order and tacos assembled at the grill. Besides its East Los Angeles base, The Infatuation reports pop-up outposts in Westlake and Pomona. Payment is in cash or by Zelle, and The Infatuation notes a discounted price on Tuesdays.

Fillings include carne asada, tripas, adobada, lengua and al pastor carved from a trompo. Beyond tacos, the stand makes tortas, mulitas and vampiros. The stand is one of several East Los Angeles Tijuana-style operations to appear in The Infatuation's list of the city's 25 best tacos.
