Tacos La Rueda is a Sonoran-style taquería on Lakewood Boulevard in Bellflower, California, known for asada and tripas served on thin flour tortillas.

Overview

La Rueda opened in Bellflower in the early 2020s; The Infatuation placed it on its list of the best new restaurants in Los Angeles for 2023 and later in its guide to the 25 best tacos in the city. Flour tortillas are the default here, in keeping with the cooking of Sonora, and Time Out notes a large salsa bar. Unlike many asada specialists, the kitchen grills over gas rather than mesquite.

Carne asada is the principal draw, with al pastor, crisp tripas and cabeza on corn tortillas also available. Specialties include the lorenza, a crunchy corn tortilla spread with beans and topped with meat; the caramelo, a large folded flour tortilla with melted cheese and Anaheim chile; and bacon-wrapped hot dogs. A salsa verde accompanies the tacos.
