Tacos Manuel is a taco stand near the Veracruz malecón whose owner is known as Don Pescuezo, after its signature chicken-neck tacos.

Overview

La Silla Rota's 2022 list places Tacos Manuel near the malecón, the waterfront promenade of the port, close to the crafts market, and mentions a tacos de canasta stand at the Parque de las Madres on Avenida Madero. The owner is nicknamed Don Pescuezo.

Fillings include egg, chicharrón, longaniza, asadura (offal), chicken, and pescuezo de pollo, the chicken neck that gives the owner his nickname.

The port of Veracruz and neighboring Boca del Río form a single metropolitan area whose taquerías range from market stalls and tacos de guisado to al pastor trompos and Veracruz-style pibil and barbacoa.
