Tacos Marco Antonio

From WikiTacos, the taco encyclopedia · Taquería

Tacos Marco Antonio is a seafood taquería in Ensenada, Baja California, housed in a former fish-canning warehouse and known for battered fish tacos.

Overview

The taquería occupies a partly open-air former fish-canning warehouse with a concrete floor and metal roof, a business that Michelin says Marco Antonio's father started in 1965. Diners order at a counter at the back and eat at simple tables. It has been listed in the Michelin Guide Mexico since the first edition in 2024.

Seafood tacos make up the menu, including fish chicharrón, tuna carnitas and shrimp in chipotle. The classic order is the battered fish taco: a golden fillet on a warm tortilla with onion and spiced crema. A self-service table holds shredded cabbage and a range of salsas. It opens for breakfast and lunch and closes on Tuesdays.
