Overview

The truck's regular spot is at 1434 First Ave., a short walk from the eastern shore of Lake Merritt, placing it closer to downtown than the clusters of trucks along International Boulevard. Hoodline included it in a September 2018 roundup of Oakland's favorite places for inexpensive tacos.

The choice of meats covers the usual taquería range: carne asada, chicken, al pastor, carnitas and cabeza, the slow-steamed meat from a beef head. Any of them can go into tacos, burritos, quesadillas, nachos or tortas. Hoodline presented it as a low-cost option for classic street tacos close to the lake, rather than as a specialist in any single regional style.
