Tacos Mi Reynita

From WikiTacos, the taco encyclopedia · Taquería

Tacos Mi Reynita is an East Bay taco business that began in its owner's home during the COVID-19 pandemic and grew into several trucks serving Tijuana-style tacos.

History

According to Visit Oakland, Mi Reynita started as a home-based operation during the pandemic and later expanded to several trucks across the East Bay, with its best-known stop in Deep East Oakland. The San Francisco Chronicle included it in a guide to eating in the East Bay, which the paper described as the Bay Area's most exciting dining region.

The style is Tijuana's: meats grilled over charcoal and served on handmade tortillas, with a selection of seven fire-roasted salsas. Al pastor and charred chorizo are the most recommended fillings. The Chronicle highlighted its quesabirria, finished with a drizzle of peanut salsa, a Mexican salsa de cacahuate made from ground peanuts and dried chiles.
