Tacos Michoacan
Tacos Michoacan is a Napa taquería that has operated since the 1990s, with a restaurant on Pueblo Avenue and two trucks, known for carnitas and handmade tortillas.
Overview
Wine Spectator's Napa Valley Taco Tour reported that Tacos Michoacan has been in Napa since the 1990s and runs a brick-and-mortar restaurant at 1800 Pueblo Ave. plus two trucks. It recommended the carnitas and the house-made tortillas, served with a side of pickled carrots.
American Canyon
Visit Napa Valley's taco trail lists Tacos Michoacán as a bonus stop in American Canyon, at the southern end of the county, describing a taquería with handmade tortillas and outdoor seating and recommending carne asada tacos and burritos. The trail does not say whether this is the same business as the Napa restaurant.
Context
Michoacán is the birthplace of carnitas, pork cooked slowly in lard, and taquerías named for the state commonly feature it.
