Overview

Tacos Primo's original location is on Martín de Zavala in Monterrey's Centro, with a second branch on Avenida Central in Colonia Chapultepec. Posta describes its rise from a street stand to a successful business. The original is a classic counter with high stools.

The house taco is bistec served on a doubled corn tortilla softened with a little fat and topped with grilled onions. Pork tacos are also offered. Three salsas, green, red and orange, accompany the tacos, and Publimetro reported that many locals and visitors consider it the best place in the city for bistec tacos.

The style reflects Monterrey's northern taco culture, in which grilled beef is a mainstay and tacos come with cebollitas, griddled spring onions.
