Tacos Tamix is a chain of four Los Angeles taco trucks known for al pastor shaved from red trompos.

Overview

Time Out lists four Tamix trucks: on Pico Boulevard in Mid-City, on Sepulveda Boulevard by Culver City, on Hoover Street in Pico-Union and on Santa Fe Avenue in the Arts District. The trucks keep late hours; The Infatuation notes they stay open until at least 1 a.m.

Al pastor is the main attraction, carved from a vertical spit. The menu also includes alambre with cheese and bacon, gringas filled with ham and pineapple, and what Time Out calls "T bites," a category covering tacos, tortas and tlayudas. Tacos Tamix appears in Time Out's roundup of the best taco trucks in Los Angeles.
