Overview

Time Out credits Yasmany Mendoza with running the trucks. The original parks on East Olympic Boulevard in Boyle Heights, and a second operates on Venice Boulevard in Mid-City. The Infatuation includes it in its guides to the best birria and the 25 best tacos in Los Angeles.

La Única braises both beef and goat in a chile adobo and serves the meat many ways: as tacos, as quesatacos on griddled housemade corn tortillas with melted white cheese, as mulitas and in a birria ramen with consomé. The Infatuation singles out the goat version, and a habanero salsa is offered on the side.
