Takesabroso is a taquería chain in Veracruz and Boca del Río known for al pastor and grilled meats and for meme-based advertising featuring a character called Tío Take.

Overview

La Silla Rota reported in 2022 that Takesabroso had three branches. The original is on calle Artículo 123 in Casas Tamsa, Boca del Río; the others are on Joaquín Perea Blanco near Plaza del Puerto and on bulevar Adolfo Ruiz Cortines near bulevar Manuel Ávila Camacho, both in the northern part of Veracruz. The chain is known locally for commercials built on internet memes and starring a character called Tío Take.

The menu centers on al pastor along with picaña (picanha), chuleta (pork chop), chistorra and other meats.

The port of Veracruz and neighboring Boca del Río form a single metropolitan area whose taquerías range from market stalls and tacos de guisado to al pastor trompos and Veracruz-style pibil and barbacoa.
