Taquería El Granjenal is a taquería on West 19th Street on the west side of Costa Mesa, a long-running spot where customers often eat in the parking lot.

Overview

El Granjenal is at 899 West 19th Street, on the west side of Costa Mesa. In OC Weekly's 2016 list of the county's great old-school taquerías, Gustavo Arellano wrote that it was serving the neighborhood's Mexican community long before Costa Mesa's west side was nicknamed "Costa Mexico." He noted that the quality had risen and fallen with changes in ownership over the years, but that the food was in good form at the time of writing.

Setting

The taquería is a no-frills operation, and Arellano noted that customers eat in the parking lot. The same OC Weekly list included El Toro Bravo's Costa Mesa location, also on West 19th Street.
