History

The Vargas family runs the restaurant. According to the Santa Barbara Independent, the family's taco catering business had been operating since 2005 and was a frequent caterer for Santa Barbara Police Department events. The restaurant also hosted a yearly festival devoted to al pastor tacos.

As its name suggests, the specialty is al pastor, pork marinated in chile and spices and shaved from a vertical spit. The Independent's 2015 survey called its version the best in the area.
