From WikiTacos, the taco encyclopedia · Taquería

Taquería Tacomer is a late-opening taquería in central Oaxaca City known for tacos al pastor.

Overview

Oaxaca Travel Tips includes Taquería Tacomer in the Centro section of its 2026 guide to the city's tacos and notes that it stays open late. The guide's main recommendation is the al pastor, pork marinated in chile and roasted on a vertical spit. The menu also lists tacos of chorizo and bistec, alambre (chopped meat griddled with peppers, onion and cheese), and gringas, flour tortillas filled with al pastor and melted cheese. The guide gives no street address or founding date.

Context

Oaxaca de Juárez has its own taco culture built on local ingredients such as tasajo (thin salted beef), cecina enchilada (chile-rubbed pork), chorizo, quesillo and chile de agua, served alongside the tlayudas and memelas the state is known for. Street carts are not allowed to operate in the city on Wednesdays, although the rule is often relaxed on holidays.
