Taquería Tecomán
Taquería Tecomán is a diner-style taquería on East Lake Avenue in downtown Watsonville, California, known for handmade corn tortillas and cabeza tacos.
History
Good Times profiled Tecomán in 2017, describing a butter-yellow building at a busy corner just off Main Street with a formica counter, swiveling stools and a few small tables that make it feel more like a classic diner than a taquería. Its name refers to Tecomán, a city in the Mexican state of Colima.
Menu
Warm handmade corn tortillas accompany every meal. Tacos, then priced at a dollar and a half, came in asada and cabeza, the latter singled out as especially tender, and were topped with onion, cilantro, house salsa and lime. The kitchen also cooks plates such as camarones a la diabla.
