Tin-Tan Tacos

From WikiTacos, the taco encyclopedia · Taquería

Tin-Tan Tacos is a small chain of tacos de canasta stands in Puebla with three locations in the city.

Overview

Revista 360 Grados listed Tin-Tan Tacos in a 2021 roundup of Puebla taco and cemita spots. At the time the business had three outlets: one at 25 Oriente and 10 Sur in Antigua Francisco Villa, one at Calle 9 Sur 4903 in Huexotitla, and one in Concepción la Cruz in the Reserva Territorial Atlixcáyotl. The magazine reported that the owner had about three decades in the trade, and that staff begin cooking at five in the morning to produce roughly a thousand tacos for the three branches each day. A worker named Flora López was quoted.

Like other tacos de canasta, the tacos are filled in advance, packed into a basket and kept warm so they steam in their own heat. Fillings listed by the magazine were carne, adobo, beans, chicharrón, potato, potato with chorizo, chicharrón prensado and green pipián. The magazine's suggestion was the adobo taco with green salsa.
