A 2019 guide to tacos in Novato from the Shop Local Novato directory said the restaurant had been serving fresh Mexican food since 1992, which makes it one of the longer-running Mexican kitchens in the city. A 2017 article from the same directory highlighted its award-winning salsas and signature burritos and noted that orders could be placed online through a Marin delivery service.

The dish the 2019 guide chose to feature was the Taco Macho, a crisp flour tortilla filled with the customer's choice of meat and topped with lettuce, cheese, salsa fresca, guacamole and sour cream, a Californian, hard-shell take on the taco that differs from the soft corn tortillas of street-style taquerías.
