Vegatinos

From WikiTacos, the taco encyclopedia · Taquería

Vegatinos is a vegan taco pop-up in the San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, that was voted the best vegan taco in the city by L.A. TACO readers in 2019.

Overview

Vegatinos operates as a pop-up rather than a fixed restaurant. In 2019 it rotated between two Valley spots: Wednesdays at 10437 Burbank Boulevard and Fridays and Sundays at 7610 Woodman Avenue. That year it won L.A. TACO's Vegan Taco Madness reader vote, which crowned it the best vegan taco in Los Angeles, and the outlet then included it in its survey of the best street tacos in the San Fernando Valley.

The pop-up's best-known item is a plant-based al pastor taco, the order L.A. TACO recommended to first-time visitors. Like other vegan taquerías in the city, it builds its menu around the look and seasoning of traditional street-taco meats while using no animal products. Because pop-up schedules change, the days and corners listed in 2019 may no longer be current.
