Wet Tacos

From WikiTacos, the taco encyclopedia · Taquería

Wet Tacos is a birria food truck in San Diego's Logan Heights that uses grass-fed halal beef and sets up at the Soap Factory.

Overview

Wet Tacos is a truck-based business that builds its menu on birria made from certified grass-fed, halal beef, an unusual choice in a dish more often prepared with goat or conventional beef. It parks at the Soap Factory in Logan Heights, a neighborhood east of Barrio Logan and south of downtown San Diego. San Diego Magazine included the truck on its 2025 list of the county's forty best tacos.

Beyond birria tacos, the magazine recommended two items. Garlic butter shrimp tacos lean toward the seafood side of the menu, while surf-and-turf birriadillas combine birria with shrimp in a quesadilla-style fold. Birria shops commonly dip tortillas in the fat-slicked cooking broth before griddling them and serve consommé on the side for dunking, the style that has made birria tacos one of the most popular street foods in Southern California.
