Corazón de Torta

Corazón de Torta Guisados y Grill is a San Diego taco truck run by Antonio "Tony Tee" Ley that works the Logan Heights area and the county's breweries and tasting rooms.

Overview

Corazón de Torta is based at 2490 Commercial Street in Logan Heights, according to the San Diego Reader, but much of its business comes from parking at breweries and tasting rooms around the county. It appeared in the Reader's 2018 taco roundup, in a section about the year-round circuit of trucks that feed beer drinkers, and again in the 2019 taco issue. Owner Antonio Ley is known to customers as Tony Tee.

Menu

As the name suggests, the truck mixes guisados, slow-cooked stews served in tortillas, with grilled meats. The Reader highlighted short rib in guajillo chile, a taco called The Dirty that tops carne asada with cheese and a chipotle meat sauce, and a vegan cauliflower in mole, which gives meat-free diners at breweries a substantial option.
