El Camino Real (Fullerton)
El Camino Real is a long-running Mexican restaurant on North Euclid Street in Fullerton, described as an Orange County institution for tacos dorados, birria de res and menudo.
Overview
El Camino Real is at 303 North Euclid Street in Fullerton. In a 2018 OC Weekly guide to the county's tacos, writer Cynthia Rebolledo called it a longtime Orange County institution. It is a separate business from El Camino Real Market, the Anaheim grocery known for its guisado tacos.
Menu
The menu combines a sit-down Mexican restaurant's dishes, including tortas, enchiladas, chiles rellenos and menudo, with the meats of a taquería. Rebolledo recommended the tacos dorados, which are fried crisp, and the birria de res, a beef version of the Jalisco stew that is more often made with goat.
