The restaurant is located at 11 Central Ave. in Sonoma and serves from late morning into the evening, opening earlier on Fridays through Sundays. The word molino refers to a mill, the kind used to grind nixtamalized corn into masa. Fish tacos

The San Francisco Chronicle has described El Molino Central as having a long history of serving beer-battered fish tacos, and critic Cesar Hernandez ranked them sixth in his list of the ten best fish tacos in the Bay Area. The batter is made with Bohemia, a Mexican lager, and the tacos are served two to an order. The restaurant is one of two Wine Country entries on that list, the other being La Calenda in Yountville.
